Competitions and Exams
The emphasis, as always, is on fun, but competitions and exams are a great way to improve your dancing, as well as giving you something to aim for.
Competitions
As a school, we generally enter approximately 8 competitions each year.
These are ISTD & NATD student/teacher competitions and some of these may also run couples competitions.
The highlight of the year is the trip to Blackpool for the Grand Finals held in the impressive Empress Ballroom.
A day out at a competition is a great experience, with a fantastic and supportive team atmosphere.
Exams
A chance to take yearly ISTD/NATD exams, progress up through the levels and receive feedback from an independent examiner.
These are also a requirement if you are competing.
